Struggling to use a computer? Did you know that our Sutton libraries offer free digital help sessions for novice users who just need a little support in certain areas. Please have a look at the Sutton Libraries calendar of events here to see when your next session is being held.
And iof you are over 50 years old, Age UK Sutton also have a digital inclusion programme which aims to promote the benefits of being online, provide people with confidence and skills to be able to use devices such as smartphones, tablets, computers, and even Amazon speakers to enable people to get the most out of using online services. Be careful of financial scams.
Please keep in mind that many commercial organisations have a financial incentive in providing expensive and often inapprropriate financial support, rather than other, more appropraite solutions. If you are not sure where to start with this one, please do not part with any more money but speak to TfS first to receive FREE, confidential and impartial support.
Friends Against Scams is a National Trading Standards Scams Team initiative which aims to protect and prevent people from becoming victims of scams by empowering people to take a stand against scams. Help protect yourself and others against scams by finding out more about them on the Friends Against Scams website.
If you think you have been scammed, first contact your bank, and then report it to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040 or www.actionfraud.police.uk to help stop it happening to others. If you are in immediate danger, contact the police on 999.
Get advice and report it to Trading Standards through the Citizens Advice Consumer Service on 0808 223 1133 or at www.adviceguide.org.uk who provide free, confidential and impartial advice on consumer issues. It is important that all complaints are referred to the Citizens Advice Consumer Service as they maintain a national database of complaints that provides an invaluable source of information and intelligence to the Trading Standards Community.

Why buy when you can borrow? Hire a range of fun and useful items from Sutton Library of Things for affordable daily rates.
You can borrow DIY and gardening tools, cleaning equipment and leisure items such as a projector, speaker and party kit. Simply book online using the code SUTTONTFG and collect your item from the lockers at Sutton Library.

Local support for men.
Mental Health is so important, and it is no different or less important for men! The Sutton Men in Sheds project, run by People Arise Now, provides a community space for men to connect, engage in conversation, as well as create and pursue new interests. Advice, support and signposting, facilitated by professionals, is incorporated in the group sessions for further support if needed.

Community Volunteer Squad.
The Community Volunteer Squad is a project that connects local volunteers with residents in need, to perform basic, one-off, 'helpful tasks'. All residents' referrals come via organisations including the Together for Sutton partnership, Home-Start Sutton and Sutton Women's Centre. If you or someone you know needs support with a one-off project, please contact one of the teams to help you, or contact Volunteer Centre Sutton here directly.
Help with benefit form filling.
Volunteer Centre Sutton's Benefits Form Filling project runs in partnership with Citizens Advice Sutton and TfS. Residents are referred to meet with a trained volunteer, to help them complete vital benefits forms to access financial support.
